  • Dreineer nie elektriese stroom nie (ideaal vir elektriese omheinings)
  • Vervaardig van hoë digtheid polyethyleen (HDPE)

Eienskappe van Hoë Digtheid Polyethyleen (HDPE):


  • Is rigied maar wel baie buigsaam
  • Hoë weerstand teen impak
  • Sterk
  • Geen water absorbsie en water kleef nie daaraan vas nie (uitstekend vir elektriese omheinings )
  • Kan gesweis word
  • Uitstekende weerstand teen slytasie en bros-wording
  • Liggewig
  • "flashpoint" (smeltpunt in hitte sonder vlam) is 250°C
  • 'n veldbrand se hitte direk voor die vuur is ±200°C en daarom smelt die dropper nie maklik nie (videos op www.plasticdroppers.co.za)
 

Purpose of a dropper:


-     Keeping distance between wires fixed

-     Should not be stiff – need to absorb impact

  • Does not drain electrical current (Ideal for electric fencing)
  • Made from high density polyethylene (HDPE)

Features of High Density Polyethylene (HDPE)


  • Strong, but flexable
  • High resistance against impact
  • Durable
  • Doesn’t absorb water and water doesn’t cling to it (ideal for electric fences)
  • Can be welded
  • Light in weight
  • “flashpoint” (melting point without flame) is 250°C
  • The heat direct in front of a veld fire is ±200°C and therefore the dropper won’t easily melt (videos can be seen on www.plasticdroppers.co.za

 

 


Avoid this from happening and use plastic droppers ? they need to be flexible.

GAME FIGHTING THRU FENCE WITH STEEL DROPPERS


 




Important notes:

Remember fire breaks must be reasonable clean

Fires don’t only destroy grazing land but also burn galvanizing of existing strains.

Use 2mm binding wire in double configuration to bind these plastic droppers to the steel strains for big animals e.g. kudu, eland, etc

According to law fire breaks need to be 3m wide with no burning material in between
